The Open University's Vice-Chancellor Martin Bean is part of the delegation to arrive in India today with Prime Minister David Cameron.

The PM wants to open a new chapter in Britain's relations with its largest former colony and is being accompanied on his trip by captains of industry. As well as six cabinet ministers, the PM will be joined in Mumbai by leaders in business, science and education, culture and sports, technology and a parliamentary and local government delegation.
